Abstract

Scratch is a visual programming language, whose feature is that learners can develop programs through dragging and dropping graphical source code. This research sampled three different groups of seventh grade students: regular class, math-talented class and music-talented class, and used game-based and visual programming tool to teach students the concept of programming. Then we analyzed the differences in learning attitudes and effectiveness between genders and among different classes.
