Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the potential of a PC-based role-playing game for teaching the subject of forest preservation. Four elementary students participated in this case study. The observation and interview were implemented to collect their gaming behaviors and feedbacks about the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and the design elements of the game. The results showed that students viewed the game as an easy and useful learning tool that fulfilled major game characteristics. Suggestions were proposed for the design of the game and future research.
