Abstract

This paper summarises the current context of metadata standards development relevant to Information Technology for Learning, Education, and Training (ITLET). A number of issues are identified that need further discussion in order to harness the potential of ICT in LET. In particular, issues related to assessing quality of standards; how to scope ITLET standards; and how to specify metadata for explanatory content are highlight
