Abstract

This paper explores several unsupervised approache s to automatic keyword extraction using online news articles. After utiliz ing Stanford Parser to extract keywords and key phrases, SingleRank calculation method was employed to assign specific scores for key phrases in a single document. After keyphra se extraction and evaluation, a graphic structure can be established which is named TSCR (T ext-Significant Concept Relationship) structure system. In order to investi gate the effectiveness of the system for assisting English reading comprehension, a question naire was conducted, and the results confirm the positive influence of the system.
