Abstract

Since the development of information technology, the teaching mode keeps innovating and flipped classrooms become popular. However, flipped classrooms need to preview the course videos on websites. It might affect the learners’ cognitive load of different age levels during their learning process. Because the age range of amateur erhu learners is very wide, this research focus on amateur erhu learners. We use the teaching mode of flipped classrooms on websites and explore whether the age will affect the cognitive load. The result shows that the middle age learners got heavier cognitive load than the young and the old age learners.
