Abstract

This research explored the experiences of teachers using the FROG VLE, a virtual learning platform adopted by the Ministry of Education for all its 10,000 schools nationwide. This initiative is part of the 1BestariNet project under the newly released Malaysian Education Blueprint. It is aimed at upscaling the quality of education through ICT. The research adopted a qualitative approach using an open-ended survey. Several themes related to the benefits and challenges of teaching and learning through the virtual learning environment emerged from the findings. Several suggestions are proposed to improve the uptake of the VLE among the teachers in Malaysia.
