Abstract

The Construction of evaluation standards for intelligent educational software is a key driver of China’s educational digital transformation. This study constructed evaluation indicators framework for intelligent educational software of 2024 and assessed the developmental levels in four educational scenarios, namely, learning, teaching, management, and evaluation, based on the educational digital transformation maturity model. The results revealed the significant differences in the development level of intelligent educational software within different educational scenarios. While functionality completeness and business alignment still needed improvement, technical quality and user experience were relatively good, although attractiveness required enhancement. In 2024, the development level of intelligent educational software in China has moved beyond the initial stage and is progressing towards the advanced and optimized stages, yet there is still some distance to reach the mature stage. The aim of this study is to provide a basis for achieving high-quality development of intelligent educational software and promoting the digital transformation of education in China.
