Abstract

In research activities, instructors guide learners through their research outputs. In many cases, research outputs don’t describe the thoughts that produced them. Therefore, it is difficult to provide guidance to learners' thinking strategies. When conducting research, several ideas are compared and selected. Since thinking about ideas changes depending on the thinking strategy, it is possible to infer the strategy from the thinking process for ideas (idea space change process). Therefore, in this study, we propose a system that can express learners' thinkings when they create outputs and a system that constructs an idea space change process from the thinkings obtained by the system. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed system, we conducted evaluation experiment. As the result, it was confirmed that the instructor could teach the thinking strategy as long as the instructor paid attention to the sequence of the idea space change process.
