Abstract

This paper discusses the need to understand e-learning users, their goals, tasks, and requirements. A research project carried out addressing some of these concerns in the context of basic education in England is presented here. A series of engagement activities were carried out exploring how digital learning resources are actually used in classroom teaching and learning aiming to elucidate user needs and expectations. Results are discussed in detail and some recommendations for future development put forward.
