Abstract

Information technology plays a vital role in English teaching. It provides not only multimodal teaching and learning means, platforms but also rich resources for education. This paper describes how to create an IT-supported teaching environment and guide the senior high school students to change ways of learning and improve their English reading activities effectively to have a deep text understanding. This paper also gives some implications for using information technology in English teaching and learning for senior school students.
